Hi.

My name is Aleksi Heikkinen, and I am currently a student at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, where I study Information and Communication Technology (ICT) with a major in Game Development.

I have always had a passion for computers and video games, so my current studies are a perfect fit. I have around five years of coding experience, mostly in basic programming. I am now expanding my knowledge by learning new programming languages and exploring different coding paradigms, and I look forward to the challenge.

I have been involved in Scouts for over a decade and have gained many valuable life skills through it. I have served in my scout group’s leadership for two years and have been a group leader for five years.

Since Spring 2024, I have been part of the Student Union Board as an alternate member, becoming a full member in January 2025. I am also an active participant in Metropolia’s tutoring program and have recently advanced to the role of Head Tutor.

HMTL-CSS

I have 3 years of basic HTML-CSS experience, most of it relating to basic website construction.

HTML & CSS

I have three years of basic HTML and CSS experience, primarily focused on building simple websites.

C#

A language I am very familiar with and have used in many projects. C# is one of my favorites to work with.

GitHub

I have used GitHub extensively and it has become one of my most valuable tools for project version control, collaboration, and sharing.

Python

I have limited experience with Python but aim to strengthen my skills in the near future.

C++

I have used C++ in several university projects but would like to deepen my understanding of the language.

Unity

As a game developer, Unity is an essential tool for me. All of my game projects to date have been made with Unity, and I have greatly enjoyed working with it.
